Effects of Tourism on the Natural Environment Solutions • Trail Etiquette: Low Impact Camping • It is an offence to collect, remove, destroy or deface any heritage resource • Use a stove to minimize fires • Reduce risk of forest fires/use of wood • Ensure safe water and health conditions • If you are stuck, dig a hole 20cm deep x 30 meters away from water sources, "treasure chests" • Wash in the ocean or at the mouth of rivers • use biodegradable soap • Camp at designated campsites • Camp on the beach to reduce impact on the forest
