  2. Citizens of central Pennsylvania are effected in many ways by the drilling for natural gas. I would like to explain these effects in relation to the environment, jobs, and real estate.
  3. The Gas Companies Opinion Contact the bigger gas companies in the area and give them a survey The survey would include: How does their company effect the environment? Are they hiring local workers? What is the average lease price per acre? Are they buying or leasing houses, apartments, storage lots, etc
  4. Jobs Make contact with Lycoming County Business Bureau Ask them if there has been an increase in jobs since the gas exploration began Ask various unemployment agencies if they are able to get unemployed citizens jobs that are related to the natural gas exploration
  5. Real Estate Look at the land and home sale records in the last two years compared to the two years before that and see if there has been and increase in sales. Talk to local real estate agents and real estate companies and see if they have helped people related to the gas companies buy homes
  6. Internet Search online job databases, see if gas companies are advertising jobs Research past natural gas hot spots and see if the gass companies hired locals there
