Huntsville Engineering Center (HNC) • Support specialized missions requiring unique technical expertise in national or broadly scoped programs • Integrate facilities crossing geographical boundaries • Require commonality, standardization, multiple-site adaptation, or technology transfer • Require centralized management structure for effective control of program development, coordination, and execution • Require services not normally provided by other Corps elements

Huntsville Engineering Center (HNC) • Major Programs include: • Ballistic Missile Defense – DPM for design, test, tactical and tactical support facilities for Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (formerly National Missile Defense) • Chemical Demilitarization - Life Cycle Project Manager for facility design and construction, equipment design, acquisition, and installation • Installation Support – Provide public works business processes, systems, training and contingency support • Ordnance and Explosives – Provide detection and disposal of unexploded ordnance • Centrally Managed Furnishings Program - Execute procurement of furnishings for Admin and barracks facilities for new construction, renovation and replacement projects   • Theater Construction Management System (TCMS) – Provide automated construction planning, design, management, and reporting system • Annual budget of $1.2B • POC: Mr. John Mayes, (256) 895-1111 • http://www.hnd.usace.army.mil/
