FRANCE

The Coordinating Institute CNRS-INSU leads a national team comprising CNRS, CEA, BRGM, IFREMER, IRF, IRSN, IPGP, and several universities in France. They operate the national seismic network, mobile seismic network, permanent National GPS network, mobile GPS network, volcano observatories, and gravimetry. They are working towards establishing a National RESIF data center for seismology and GPS data. The French government, through the Ministry for Education, University and Research (MESR), supports RESIF-EPOS as an ESFRI initiative.
