MY LOCAL GOVERNMENT By Tahnbee Smith 5E
Monash City Council My local government is the Monash City Council. A local council are the people who supply things in need in our city, such as trees, water, and much more. Every year, the council plants around 100,000 trees, shrubs and groundcovers across the city, the majority in the bushland reserves. They also help to build the local roads and traffic lights, with the tax payed by adults that are working. They even make sure that there is always enough space for people with disabilities, or ladies with prams and small aged children. Also, the council is responsible for collecting the garbage, and they make baby health centres to assist new mothers.
