Who Should Participate? • To attend CIC Institutes and to be eligible to obtain the CIC designation, and individual must be a licensed agent, broker, or solicitor; or • Have at least two years of full-time experience as a practitioner in insurance or risk management; or • Have served for at least two years as a full-time insurance faculty member at an accredited college or university.
IN-HOUSE PROGRAMS • CIC RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide the faculty members and the educational consultant. • Supply notebooks containing institute outlines, exhibits and forms for each participant. • Supply name badges, formalized participant list and certificate of participation for each participant. • Supply and administer exam. • Grade exams and notify participants of his/her results. • Create participant records for each person attending. • Provide certification for continuing education credit for state licensing. • Pay for faculty and honoraria, lodging meals and travel. • SPONSORING AGENCY/COMPANY RESPONSIBITIES • Provide classroom suitable, according to CIC specifications, for the two and one half day-long institute. • Provide an on-site coordinator to assist Education Consultant. • Provide overhead projector and large screen for use by instructors. • Supply registration and break refreshments. • Pay the Society the prescribed course fee. .
