  3. Direct attention to quality The Centre for Quality of Studies has been established (2002 ). The main areas of activity: • Research on quality issues, • Quality initiatives within the university, • Consultancy within the organization, • Dissemination of experience.

  4. The preparatory stage

  5. Strategy development (2006) • 32 work groups have been involved into development of the VMU Strategy (2007-2012). • The group for Assurance of Quality of Studies is one among them. • 250 means are planned in the strategy implementation plan. • 88 among them – actions directly related with improvement of studies. • Responsibility for implementation of the strategy is shared among all faculties and departments.

Implementation of Quality assurance system (2007 – 2012) • Development the system for teaching staff improvement. • Development of an effective feedback system – about the study quality. • Implementation of the system of quality assurance at the level of the study programme. • Implementation of the system of quality assurance at the level of the institution • Development of the data base for the quality assurance system. • Development and implementation of the system for audit of quality management within the institution.
