  2. Cuandotermines(When you finish)… • Begin your tarea (look at the side board) • You may use index cards in the black crate on the back table

  3. Telenovela: Rubi • As you watch the clip from Rubi, complete the “resumen(summary)” of this portion of the first episode by using the word bank to fill in the missing words • The information you are filling in is not based on specific dialogue, but rather a more general description of what you saw happen at the beginning of the episode.

  4. Telenovela: RubiLos personajes (Characters) • Rubi: antipática, egoísta, bonita • Hermana de Rubi: trabajador • La madre de Rubi: trabajador, simpática • Maribel: simpática, innocente, rica, bonita • El padre de Maribel: trabajador, rico, cariñoso, guapo • Hector: el novio de Maribel, guapo, rico, trabaja en unaempresa en Nueva York

  5. Skits: Las telenovelas • You will work in your groups to write your scripts and perform your skit by the end of class today • Keep it simple! Use actions to compensate for phrases you may not be able to express, and use simple words/phrases you DO know in order to express more complex ideas • It’s okay for your skit to be funny…but keep it appropriate.

  6. Tarea • Make flashcards for at least 25 vocabulary words you have studied in Spanish II • Your words should be related to the same topic, as we generally learn vocabulary more efficiently by category • Feel free to draw a picture of the word on the English side of the flashcard if you have found this helpful in the past

  7. Boleto de salida Responde en ingles: How does body language (gestures, facial expressions, etc.) help us to communicate with others? (DON’T FORGET ABOUT YOUR EVALUATION!)
