How Did I Make It? • Firstly, I went out and filmed my dog out in the snow. I then converted the clip to QuickTime so I could import it into Final Cut Pro. • I then created “The Film Lab” logo in Photoshop. Saving that as a jpeg, I imported it into Final Cut Pro and sat it on top of the video clip on the timeline. • I copied and pasted the logo and added it to other places on the timeline so it looked like that the dog was running after it and sniffing it.
How Is It Effective? • I think my iDent will be effective for the audience because not only will it interest them in going to “The Film Lab”, it is funny and will make people laugh. • I made it as if it looked like the dog was advertising “The Film Lab” as he sniffs the logo and keeps running after it when it disappears. • This idea is also pretty unique as it’s not been done on any other TV adverts.
What Programme Did I Use? • I used two programmes whilst making my iDent. These were Photoshop and Final Cut Pro. • I created the logo of “The Film Lab” in Photoshop and saved it as a jpeg before putting it in Final Cut Pro. • I used Final Cut Pro for the video clip and the final iDent. • Another quick programme I used was Toast Titanium to convert the video clip of the dog to QuickTime. This was so it could get imported into Final Cut Pro.
Improvements I Could Make? • The main improvement that I could make is have the iDent associated more with The Film Lab.
What Do I Think Of The iDent? • I think that my iDent turned out quite well and had good potential. It was funny but also interesting and appealing to the audience. • The things I could have improved on were the filming because I was quite wobbly with the camera and I could have created an iDent more to do with “The Film Lab”. The dog didn’t really have anything to do with it. • Overall, I think it turned out good
