What is Craftivism and what are the benefits? Craft + Activism = Craftivism -Provoking thought & conversation with unlikely characters -Your project is unique & peaceful -Visually stimulating -Proactive optimism not preaching despair -Gives the Craftivist timeto stop and reflect
What do I need? • Aida cloth (approx postcard size) • Embroidery or cross-stitch thread • Needle • Backing fabric • All We Can label • Craftivist Collective label
What do I do with my banner? All banners once completed need to be returned to the following address by Wednesday 21st May 2014 Sarah Corris All We Can Methodist Church House 25 Marylebone Road London NW1 5JR
What happens next? We are off on tour!!! It is our aim that the banners be sewn together to form a large protest banner which will tour as many Methodist schools as possible, to be seen by as many local people as possible
What else can I do? We have produced a petition that asks our local MPs to raise this issue with the Foreign Secretary Get your school and local community to fill out as many of these as possible. Why not hand these to your local MP when you host the banner in your school?
