ROMANIA THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, RESEARCH, YOUTH AND SPORT THE NATIONAL CENTRE FOR TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING DEVELOPMENT • Peer-learning visit “Teachers involvement in quality assurance (QA) and development ” of members of the European Network for Quality Assurance in Education and Training ENQA-VET – september 2007 • Organisers • Ministry of Education • National Centre for Technical Vocational Education and Training Development • European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP) Objectives: disseminate Member States developments on teachers involvement in QA present Romanian achievements on teachers involvement in QA create a platform for dialogue and mutual learning between participants formulate a set of recommendations for the improvement of teachers involvement in QA at European and Romanian level
ROMANIA THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, RESEARCH, YOUTH AND SPORT THE NATIONAL CENTRE FOR TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING DEVELOPMENT • Peer-learning activities foreseen during the implementation of the ESF project Improving quality of VET through schools’ networks “- 01.09.2010 – 31.08.2010 • one of the main objectives of the project is the establishment and development of schools’ networks , organised on specific training domains • in order to foster schools cooperation in the networks a number of peer learning activities between schools is envisaged , focusing on relevant VET topics, such as: • development of QA procedures and instruments • student centred learning • competence based assessment • cooperation with employers • counseling and career guidance for students • development of entrepreneurial skills • development of learning auxiliaries • best examples of good practice will be included in a booklet which will be disseminated at national level
ROMANIA THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, RESEARCH, YOUTH AND SPORT THE NATIONAL CENTRE FOR TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING DEVELOPMENT Sharing experiences between partnership structures Aims • To increase the performance of the participative management structure • To promote the good practices • To increase the quality of the strategic documents • To ensure the comparability of the strategic documents to the regional and county level • Activities • Peer learning between Regional Consortia, LDC, School board – horizontal and vertical links • Peer review • Period • Annually - Starting with 2004 (with the financial support of Phare TVET programs ). In 2010 and 2011 with the financial support of ESF
ROMANIA THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, RESEARCH, YOUTH AND SPORT THE NATIONAL CENTRE FOR TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING DEVELOPMENT • Peer learning and Peer review in 2009 ( with the financial support of Phare TVET 2006 program) • Peer learning • between Regional consortia, LDC and 166 TVET schools • Peer review • 8 monitoring visits realized by RC (each RC realized monitoring visits to another RC for evaluation of the REAP) • 42 monitoring visits realized by LDC (each LDC realized monitoring visits to another LDC for evaluation of the LEAP) • 166 monitoring visits realized by LDC to TVET schools • Results • 8 REAP’ s , 42 LEAP’ s, 166 SAP’ s updated and revised base on recommendations of monitoring reports
