Direct Objects • Write sentences using bring, find, and give. • Ex. The woman brought her dog to school.
Indirect Objects • Indirect Objects tell to whom, or to what the action of the verb is directed. • Ex. Jia took the book to Diba. • There are two positions for I.O.- after the D.O., or between the verb and the D.O. • Ex. Jia took the book to Diba. • Jia took Diba the book • Do not use “to” if the I.O. comes after the verb.
Indirect Objects • Write 2 sentences with the I.O. after the verb • Ex. The dolphin gave a ball to the man. • Write 2 sentences with the I.O. between the verb and D.O. • Ex. The dolphin gave the man a ball. • I.O. D.O.
