Co-teaching • Instruction is provided equally to all students • Additional support is available upon request • Guided notes and homework assignments • Study guides • Formula Sheets • One-on-one tutoring during class time • Small group instruction • Tests read in another classroom • Individual accommodations if necessary

Cohort design • 1.4 math credits • Lab period 2 days a week OR extended class period daily • Lab period activities: Edgenuity, small group instruction, one-on-one tutoring, games, skill building, review concepts, and question/answer sessions with teachers • The lab periods WILL NOT be used to complete HW assignments or work on assignments for other subjects

Principles of algebra 2 Course topics • Basic Algebra 1 Review • Linear Equations and Graphs • Inequalities and Graphs • Absolute Value Equations and Graphs • Quadratic Equations and Graphs • Polynomials and Polynomial Functions • Radical Functions and Rational Exponents • Exponential and Logarithmic Functions • Rational Functions

  7. grades • The Seneca Valley grading scale will be used to calculate letter grades. • A: 90 – 100 • B: 80 – 89 • C: 70 – 79 • D: 60– 69 • F: 59 and below

Grades • Nine Weeks grades are composed as follows: • 15% of grade  Quarterly Exam • 85% of grade  Tests, Quizzes , Homework ,Projects • Final grade is composed as follows: • 90% of grade  Nine Weeks Grades (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th) • 5% of grade Midterm Exam (Average of 1st and 2nd quarter exam scores) • 5% of grade Final Exam (Average of 3rd and 4th quarter exam scores)

While you were out… • Planned absence (field trip, athletic event, vacation, etc…) • See teachers in advance for work that will be missed • Make up work is due upon return • Unplanned absence • Upon returning, check calendar and shelves in tutoring center • See teachers with any questions about missed work • Make up quizzes and tests as soon as possible • Attend math tutoring for extra review of missed class work

  10. Math tutoring • During School: • Periods 1-8 (except 7th) in Room 103 • Students should ask their math teacher for a pass to attend • After School: • Tuesdays and Thursdays in IHS Library until 4:30 p.m. bus • No pass is required to attend • In our classroom 228: • Tutoring Center in the back of the classroom • Extra help provided by the teachers
