  2. January of each year, brings us to a season of REFLECTING ON, and RENEWING OF, our resolutions in important areas of our Christian life: • 1. To Study the Scriptures. • 2. To Share the Savior. • 3. To Support the Servants. • 4. To Supplicate in the Spirit.

  3. Important Areas of Christian Life: • 1. STUDY THE SCRIPTURES A. Is it your goal to read the whole Bible, at least once a year? And teach? (2 Ti. 2:15) B. Are you reading and meditating on God’s Word regularly, reverently and reflectively? C. Are you obeying God’s Word fully and faithfully? (Deut. 28:1, 2-14)

  4. Important Areas of Christian Life: • 2. SHARE THE SAVIOR A. Christians are the visual, verbal and vital witnesses for Christ. (Mt. 28: 18-20) B. Central verse (Jn. 3:16) i. gives us the gospel in a nutshell ii. we can find the gospel hidden inside the verse itself: G-God, O-Only begotten, S-Son, P-Perish, E-Everlasting, L-Life. ●This is the best news in all the world! Are you passing it?

  5. 2. SHARE THE SAVIOR (con’t) C. Are you practically living the gospel in your life? Testimonies of men/women in Hebrews 11: ◆Noah [v.7] – when we are anxious, Noah’s life speaks to us: PATIENCE (waited 120 years to see God’s plan fulfilled) ◆Sarah [vv.11-12] – she had FAITH to believe God for the impossible. ◆Joseph [v.22] – one hardship after another, yet TRUSTED GOD, inspite of adversities.

  6. Important Areas of Christian Life: • 3. SUPPORT THE SERVANTS A. Resolve to give systematically, scripturally and sacrificially(2 Cor. 8:1-5 and 9:6-13) B. Biblical giving radiates in, adoration, appreciation, affection, and acknowledgment of God’s blessings in one’s life.

  7. Important Areas of Christian Life: • 4. SUPPLICATE IN THE SPIRIT A. Is daily prayer, a priority in your life? (1 Thes. 5:17-19; 2 Ti. 2:1-3,8) B. Prayer is our lifeline…talking to God! Ps. 42, begins with a prayer…and as he prays, this man’s confidence grows, and his courage returns, as we see at the end of Ps. 43. C. Our hope is in God alone…Lets praise Him for all the help of His countenance.
