  10. Issue SubmittedTiefort View • Residents are parking on both sides of the street in cul de sacs. This is making it difficult to maneuver vehicles and is a concern for pedestrians in the area. Can we have the inner circle painted red? A) Under review by Garrison Commander.

  11. Issue SubmittedBitter Springs • Contract lawn service for residential front yards in Bitter Springs is not necessary. There are many able bodies that reside in the village who are capable. Can we eliminate contract lawn service? A) Under review.

  12. Issue SubmittedBitter Springs • Broken curbing in visitor parking on Irwin Drive. Presents safety hazard. Can we get the curbing repaired? A) The curbing along with other concrete repairs will be done in early spring 2012.

  13. Issue SubmittedBitter Springs • Request an update on the vandalisms/thefts/arsons in Bitter Springs. Three that we know of were reported to MP. Want to know if patrols were increased and if anyone was found (according to rumors someone was caught) Can we get an update to provide to the residents? A) Due to the cases being still open the only information that can be released is that: Juvenile suspects were arrested and interviewed by the Ft Irwin Police Department and are being processed through the San Bernardino County juvenile court system.

  14. Issue SubmittedBitter Springs • Landscaping water leak at 4011 Hidden Springs (just to the left of driveway near the street). Already reported on 17JUN11, but may be a new leak. Can we get this repaired? A) Repair completed.

  15. Issue SubmittedBitter Springs • Broken drinking fountains PG1 and PG3 Can we get this repaired? A) Repair completed.

  16. Issue SubmittedBitter Springs • Why is there no drinking fountain at brand new Sandy Basin Park(corner of Cowpens/Yorktown)? – Issue from SEP11 Can we get one installed? A) The playground was not designed to have one based on size and availability of RO water source. It is under further review.

  17. Issue SubmittedBitter Springs • Residents ask whether or not the basketball hoop on Normandy Street in Bitter Springs (in between Bitter Springs and Drinkwater Streets) can be lowered a few feet so (younger/shorter) kids in the neighborhood can play basketball. –Issue from 15JUN11 Can we get one basketball hoop lowered? A) Under review

  18. Issue SubmittedBitter Springs • The speeding continues on Rhineland (between Goldstone and Normandy) and I also hear on Omaha Beach from residents there. Residents told me the high problem hours are the lunch and "home from work" times are the problems right now:1100-1300 AND 1600-1800 Can we get increased patrols during the above listed times? A) The Ft Irwin Police Department has increased patrols and enforcement periodically in this area during these time frames.

  19. Issue SubmittedBitter Springs • Where are we on the issue of putting a kitchen fire extinguisher in every home?—Issue from end of summer?? Can we get an update on status/timeline? A) 25% of the fire extinguisher have been installed thus far and the goal is to have all installed by 3/1/2012

  20. Issue SubmittedSleepy Hollow • A few crosswalks throughout the neighborhood need repainting. In particular, the ones on Chinook & Navajo. Can we have the sidewalks repainted? A) Pending budget approval, this could be done late spring of 2012. * See map*

  22. Issue SubmittedSleepy Hollow • Residents feel that either a STOP sign or a YIELD sign should be posted at the intersection of Langford Lake & Chinook, heading East towards First Street. There is a STOP sign currently on the corner of Langford Lake. However, due to construction taking place, it is somewhat hidden by drivers on Chinook as they head East down the street. Residents worry that if they are turning left on Langford, they may not see a vehicle in time or the driver of the other vehicle may not see them in time to avoid an accident. Eventually, the Community Center will be completed and we may have more traffic in that area due to its use. Is it feasible to have either STOP signs or YIELD signs posted close to the crosswalks? A) A temporary sign was installed until construction is complete. * See map* A)
