  2. Ever had something big coming for which you weren’t prepared? • Hosting a gathering • Presentation at work • Assignment or test at school • Teaching a class or Song leading • April 15

  3. Matthew 25:1-13 • Jesus is the bridegroom. • The 10 virgins are disciples. • The wedding is the heavenly reward. • The importance of being prepared is illustrated.

  4. Behold the bridegroom is coming…, v. 6 Jesus will return. • Acts 1:9-11 • 1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. • 2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

  5. Behold the bridegroom is coming… • How often do we think about that day? • 2 Peter 3:11-12
