Job Outlook www.joboutlook.gov.au • This is the fourth issue of ICT Labour Market Indicators based on the new Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO), developed by the ABS and Statistics New Zealand. • ANZSCO has a more detailed breakdown of ICT occupations than the previous ASCO classification. • Job Outlook has data on characteristics, trends and prospects for 353 occupations. An enhanced (ANZSCO-based) website was released by DEEWR in December 2008. • Explore www.joboutlook.gov.au for occupational data for ANZSCO ICT occupations.
Job Outlook - Occupational Clusters • Job Outlook groups occupations into 48 clusters, including ICT Professionals • ICT occupations are part of other clusters, such as Health, Education, ICT & Other Managers, Engineering, ICT and Science Technicians,and Inspectors, Engineers and Sales Assistants and Salespersons. • There are 27 graphs in all for each cluster, some of which are for the cluster (ICT Professionals), while other graphs compare occupations within the cluster. • The following slides are a sample of charts from Job Outlook. These graphs can be accessed through the Related Jobs tab in the top navigation.
Age Profile This graph shows the share of employment (per cent) by age group for this occupational cluster, compared with all occupations. Median Age This graph shows a comparison of the median age of occupations within the cluster.
Gender Share This graph shows the share of employment (per cent) for males and females, employed full-time and part-time, for this occupation compared with all occupations. Gender Share – Occupations This graph shows a comparison of the male and female share of employment (per cent) for occupations within the cluster.
