  2. Student Objective: For a given vine length (l), release height (h), and angle (Q), students are to calculate the appropriate landing spot (x), such that when the vine is cut at height (y), Tarzan projects safely through the air and lands into a basket (x).

Each team is given a different length of string. • Teams can decide the height and angle to release Tarzan • Nickel-Chromium Wire cuts string at bottom of swing • Each team must calculate the appropriate landing spot— where to place the basket • Teams will only be given ONE chance to land Tarzan safely in the basket L Q h y
