Music Children will be focussing on singing, Music Hall Favourites from the Edwardian period Science Curios Changes:- Children learn about materials and how they can change. They will carry out a range of investigations to explore reversible and irreversible changes English Recounts, Novel with a historical setting, Shape poetry and Non chronological reports Main Focus – Kaspar Prince of Cats Children will investigate the text using a variety of skills, for example deconstruction, comparison, writing their own newspaper reports, poems and reports .Children will also be looking at non fiction through the historical elements of the Edwardian and early 20th century period D&T A focused week exploring Edwardian toys Geography Geography in the News children learn about weather extremes, recent tornadoes and hurricanes to hit the world. Art The artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh a focus on textiles to create a stylised rose decoration Maths Number: Place value, multiplication facts, division by 10,decimals, percentages,number relationships. Money & Measures: Area, weight,Money. Shape: coordinates, 2D & 3D shape. Data handling:mode, frequency tables, probability History Our main focus, children will explore Edwardian daily life The Suffragettes World War I An Edwardian Christmas The Edwardians & Early 20th Century Religious Education The main focus is Creation. Children will also have the opportunity to learn about a range of festivals.
