  1. Trees for Survival Planting trip to Mataia, a farm at Glorit, Kaipara on SH 16.

  2. On Tuesday we took a bus and set off to Glorit. We hadn’t got far before the bus overheated and broke down in Auckland city. We had to get off the motorway and put some water in….. Then the engine cover jammed and our Dads went to the rescue. Another bus arrived after about half an hour and we continued on out to the farm.

  3. Calling for help! Oh no! The engine cover’s fallen off.

  4. Our Arrival at Glorit Hall • We scrambled off the bus, glad to stretch our legs and met the landowners Gill and Kevin Adshead and their daughter and son in law Jenny and Shane Hood. • The site was familiar to us because Gill had sent photos and given us the history of the area along with information on what was going on and why we were planting there.
