  1. AY Year 2010-11 Online Course EvaluationOffice of Assessment

  2. Administration Process • The administration period runs for two weeks in the 14 –weeks sessions (fall and spring) and six calendar days in other sessions. • The administration period ends the last day of classes. • Office of Assessment (OA) will upload the standard instrument into the server. • OA will upload the data file with student and course information into the server. • OA will use the server to notify students via email (at least three times) to complete the course evaluation. • The server creates the default report for faculty. Reports will be posted only if three or more students have completed the evaluations. • The server notifies faculty and department chairs via email when the reports are accessible with a link to login

  3. Data Collection Features • All necessary security and confidentiality assurances. • ADA compliant. • Assurance of one response per student based on enrollment. • Notification to students via email, with multiple reminders • Departments can add custom questions by department or college

  4. Students • Students will receive a message asking them to complete the online evaluation

  5. Students • Once in the evaluation environment, students will see the list of the courses eligible for evaluation. • If the student has withdrawn from a course, this course will not be listed.

  6. Students • While completing the evaluation instrument, faculty name and course section will appear at the top of each page. • Students will know if they are evaluating a faculty or a lab instructor • Students will also see their progress in the evaluation process.

  7. Students • After completing the evaluation of a course, the message below will appear “Thank you for completing your evaluation. Click on the button below to return to your list of evaluations.”

  8. Students • The list of courses will be updated, showing which evaluations have been completed and which ones have yet to be completed.

  9. Students • If a student leave the course evaluation environment without completing an evaluation, he or she will receive a message indicating what was his or her last entry.

  10. Faculty • After grades are submitted, faculty will receive an email message with a link to the site and a login

  11. Faculty • Faculty will have direct access to their course specific reports by logging into the server • Faculty will be able to download report(s) and customize the report(s) to meet their needs

  12. Faculty • Faculty will be able to customize the report for sharing purposes

  13. Faculty • Faculty will be able to access his/her report(s) online instead of printing a copy. The report will be available to faculty after log in into the server.

  14. Faculty • Faculty will be able to compare the results of one individual section with the other participants in the online course evaluation process, by department and campus.
