Target SMART The purpose and goal of the Tennessee Target S.M.A.R.T (Shotgun, muzzleloader, archery, rifle, training) is conduct of a shooting sports program, appealing to youth and adult audiences. The curriculum is designed to assist young people in life skill development, establish a personal environmental ethic, and explore life-long advocate activities.

Target SMART • The 4-H effectively instructs young people in the proper methods of marksmanship so they may safely and successfully explore the world of shooting sports. • After school activities are normally manned and operated by volunteers. • The Target SMART activities are manned by adult volunteers and parents of participants

  4. Target SMART • The cost of setting up an activity of this scope is relatively inexpensive • The cost of equipment adds from $700 - $1500 for start up in air guns and archery tackle • Start up labor cost is approximately $4250 (volunteer labor included)
