  5. Control Measures • MechanicalCut below the water surface several times per summer, remove cut parts from water. • ChemicalApplication of imazapyr (Habitat) • Imazapyr is absorbed quickly through plant tissue and can be taken up by roots. A permit is required to work in public waters
