  2. Equipment Equipment is a very essential part of playing the great sport of soccer. It is also very essential for the safety the players. Sure it may be costly but you have to have Equipment to play.

  3. Equipment (continued) • The parts of the uniform you ware is a Cup, Jersey, Shorts, Stockings, Cleats, And Shin Pads. • The equipment you play with is a soccer ball, and a soccer goal.

  4. Soccer Rules • To play soccer you need 11 players including the goalie. • You can only allow 3 subs per game • You start the game off at the center of the field. The team that kicks off passes the ball to a team member and the game starts. • You can not use your hands at all while playing.

Soccer Rules (Continued) • The goal of the game to kick the soccer ball inside the goal as many times as you can until time runs out. • You must keep the on at all times and the game is in play until the referee says so. • The game is 90 minuets long with one half time. • No injuring players on purpose.

Characteristics (continued) • 20 red cards were shown during a 1993 game between Sportivo Ameliano and General Caballero in Paraguay. • Luigi Riva once broke the arm of a spectator with a ball that he kicked. • In 1950 India withdrew form the World Cup because FIFA refused to let their team play barefoot.

  12. Compare and Contrast • Indoor soccer is played in an enclosed area and outdoor soccer is played in an open area. • Outdoor soccer is played mostly with 11 players and indoor soccer has usually six. • In outdoor soccer you have to wear cleats and indoor you have to wear sneakers.

  13. Compare and Contrast (Continued) • A indoor soccer field has to be 200 feet long and 85 feet wide. • A outdoor soccer field has to be no greater than 120 meters long and 90 meters wide. • There is a greater risk in getting hurt while playing indoor soccer than while playing outdoor soccer

  14. Compared and Contrast (continued) • Indoor soccer in a more fast-paced game than outdoor soccer. • Indoor soccer helps improve your shooting accuracy and speed for outdoor soccer. • Outdoor soccer has boundaries but indoor soccer has no boundaries and you can bounce the ball off the walls.
