  1. Outdoor Soccer By Vashon Stancil

  2. Equipment • All soccer players Have to wear shin guards they are used to help protect their legs from being kicked and injuring their shins

  3. Goalie Equipment • Goalies have special shorts to keep them safe from bruising and major injury. • They have special gloves to help them pat the ball away and to keep their hands from getting bruised and battered • They use cleats like land shark to give them better traction on the ground .

  4. Rules • Law 14 “The Penalty” • A penalty kick is awarded against a team that commits one of the ten offenses for which a direct free kick is awarded, inside its own penalty area and while the ball is in play. • A goal may be scored directly from a penalty kick. • Additional time is allowed for a penalty kick to be taken at the end of each half or at the end of periods of extra time.

  5. Law 8 The Start and Restart of the match • Law 8 The Start and Restart of the match • A coin is tossed and the team that wins the toss decides which goal it will attack in the first half of the match. • The other team takes the kick-off to start the match. • The team that wins the toss takes the kick-off to start the second half of the match. • In the second half of the match, the teams change ends and attack the opposite goals.

  6. Law 9 Ball out of play • it has wholly crossed the goal line or touch line whether on the ground or in the air • play has been stopped by the referee it rebounds off a goalpost, crossbar or corner flag post and remains in the field of play • it rebounds off either the referee or an assistant referee when they are on the field of play

  7. Characteristics • A goal is scored when the whole of the ball passes over the goal line, between the goalposts and under the crossbar.

  8. Characteristics • The object of the game is to score by driving the ball into the opposing goal. If the score is tied at the end of the game, either a draw is declared or the game goes into extra time and a penalty shootout, depending on the format of the competition

  9. Characteristics • the goalkeepers are the only players allowed to touch the ball with their hands or arms, while the field players typically use their feet to kick the ball into position, occasionally using their torso or head to intercept a ball in midair. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match wins

  10. Indoor Soccer VS. Outdoor soccer • In outdoor and indoor soccer has mostly the same rules • They play with the same ball and equipment • Even the shoes stay the same with cleats • Even though indoor soccer is played inside its still played on turf grass jus like regular field Soccer

  11. Indoor Soccer VS. Outdoor soccer • Indoor soccer changes their rules a little bit there is no offside and if the ball bounce off the wall the game continues and indoor soccer is a more fast pace game than association football because of the rule changes
