What is the purpose of a PhD? • Develop novel approaches and ideas • Work independently with risk and pressure • Ability to adapt quickly to new information • Communicate complex ideas • Constantly reevaluate your approach • Contribute to the advancement of…? = Entrepreneur = Academic
