  2. To Contemplate God! • Man tends to underestimate God, or misunderstand Him. • Man fails to understand what effect these attributes should have on him. • Even if we don’t fully understand, we must take it by faith.

  3. Omnipotence – Infinite in Power • His Name - “God Almighty” – Gen. 17:1-4 • His acts – Creation, at a word – Gen. 1:1; Psalm 33:8-9. • God controls – Nature – Elijah, Jonah, miracles of Jesus. Amos 4:13. • God controls – Nations – Amos 1:1-2, 14; book of Daniel. • Psalm 115:3.

  4. Never tires or weakens – Isaiah 40:28 • Matt. 28:18 – given to Jesus to exercise • Power over disease – Matt. 8:3 • Power over demons – Mark 1:23-27. • Power over Satan – Matt. 4:1-11. • Power over death – John 10:17-18. • Power of judgment – Romans 2:16.

  5. Omnipresent – Universally Present • Jeremiah 23:23-24 • Matt. 18:20 • Acts 17:27-28 • Jer. 16:17 • Heb. 4:13 • Prov. 15:3

  6. Omniscient – All Knowing • Job 37:16 • Psalm 147:4-5 • Psalm 139:2-4 • I Chron. 28:9; 2 Cor. 10:5 • Matt. 10:29-30

  7. Impact on Us • Can we outsmart God? • This is the God who loves us. • We are to live for God’s greatness, and not God for our greatness.
