  22. What We’ve Learned Change is easier when you experience it with a buddy or collaborative team. Teachers respond better to change over time, but at some point there has to be a deadline. Some teachers confuse NGAs with hands-on activities and fail to amp up the rigor and/or the relevance. Patience is a virtue, but please come soon!

  23. “Next” Steps Continue tiered training and support Challenge teachers to create one NGA per unit as culminating activity Make sure that ELA and Math teachers are aware of new rollouts from the consortium Ensure that teachers understand the importance of a whole-building initiative, esp. literacy for ALL
