These partnerships have enabled Clarion University–Venango Campus to: • Enhance and expand programs • Extend outreach • Share facilities and resources • Meet the changing needs of the Commonwealth and its workforce in a dynamic and cost-effective manner
All partners are accredited, certified, licensed or otherwise approved in their areas of instructional specialization.
Associate of Applied Sciencein Industrial Technology (AAS-IT) and Administration Technology (AAS-AT) • 6 Partners • 23 Concentrations
Goals of the Applied Technology Program • Provide the future workforce with skills needed for chosen technical fields • Ensure that graduates have the educational foundation to move into future management positions • Meet the ever-changing needs of regional employers and workforce through an innovative and entrepreneurial approach to course delivery • Help to keep jobs—and the people who need them—in our region
Program Flexibility and Quality • Students attend full-time or part-time • Students may begin at university or at partnership institution or attend both simultaneously • New offering in Ridgway/St. Marys (Elk County) for 25 displaced workers in partnership with Precision Manufacturing Institute • AAS-IT is a candidate for National Accreditation from Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE)
Associate of Science in Allied Health Educational Partner: West Penn Hospital School of Nursing, Pittsburgh, PA • Offered at West Penn Hospital • West Penn’s Nursing Diploma Program (NLNAC Accredited) provides technical curriculum • Clarion University offers general education and support courses for Clarion’s AS in Allied Health degree • Entrée to BSN and MSN programs • Future partnerships/concentrations envisioned in other Allied Health areas
Associate of Science in Respiratory Care Developed in response to regional and national shortage of Respiratory Therapists brought to the attention of the University by the hospitals with which the University formed a Consortium Consortium Partners: • Clarion University • UPMC Northwest in Seneca, PA • UPMC Horizon in Sharon and Greenville, PA • Students complete 2 semesters of general education at Clarion University–Venango Campus followed by a 14-month clinical education program at UPMC Northwest and affiliated clinical sites • Candidate for National Accreditation from the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)

Associate of Science in Nursing • NLNAC Accredited • Traditional Program (101 students) • Cohort Groups (72 students) • UPMC Northwest (one cohort) • Meadville Medical Center (three cohorts) • Cohorts offered part-time to hospital employees and prospective employees to grow their own workforce • Four-year, part-time program • Hospitals fund tuition in return for employee commitment to hospital employment for at least three years • Contract between Clarion and the hospital partners ensures financial viability • Live and distance modalities • A win-win solution to the nursing shortage
Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Sciences • Concentrations through partnerships: • Radiologic Sciences • Ultrasound • Radiation Therapy/Dosimetry (future) • Nuclear Medicine (future) • Two years of general education and science courses at Clarion University • Two years of technical instruction in affiliated, accredited hospital programs

Clarion and Edinboro Universities Master of Science in Nursing Program • Joint degree program taught by faculty at both universities • Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator concentrations • Letter of agreement documents consortium arrangements for admission, instruction, administration • Courses offered primarily on-line
