  3. Study ProceduresOctober 1997 - January 1988 • 880 NTP’s • Mail survey to 750 NTP’s that had not ordered LAAM • Mail survey and telephone follow-up to 130 NTP’s that ordered LAAM

  4. Mail Survey of NTP’s That Had Not Ordered LAAM • 750 NTP’s • 100 NTP’s responded • Information gathered • Census - Methadone • Take homes • Public funding for treatment • Ownership • Plans for using LAAM • Reasons for not ordering LAAM • Study participation - $10 honorarium

  5. Mail Survey and Telephone Follow-up of NTP’s That Ordered LAAM • 130 NTP’s • 103 NTP’s responded • Information gathered • Census - Methadone & LAAM • Take homes • Public funding for treatment • Ownership • LAAM issues (average dose, fee, problems) • Study participation - $20 honorarium
