Through the characters and events in Huck Finn, Mark Twain illustrates that, at the end of the day, we all come to our senses…and Huck Finn serves to combat racism. Explain the significance of the quote, “Human beings can be awful cruel to one another.” Is this (or is it not) the essence of Huck Finn? Do you agree or disagree: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn reinforces racism in America?
