DailySchedule 8:50 – 9:10 morning exercises – pledge, song/poem, weather… 9:10 – 9:30 spelling 9:30 – 10:15 guided reading 10:15 – 11:00 writing workshop 11:00 – 11:20poetry/handwriting 11:20 – 12:00recess/lunch 12:00 – 12:50math 12:50 – 1:30 specials 1:30 – 2:00 sme/laptops 2:00 – 2:15 recess 2:15 – 2:30 guest reader/ reading workshop 2:30 – 3:10science/social studies 3:10 – 3:25 classroom clean-up/ jobs 3:25 dismissal

  5. OurSpecials • Monday: Music • Tuesday: Art- Please send in a smock or old shirt or t-shirt if you did not already do so. • Wednesday: Phys. Ed.-Please remind your child to wear sneakers on gym day. • Thursday: Guidance • Friday: Library- Please remind your child to return their books on Friday.

  6. Homework • Read a take-home book to an adult… • Spelling homework… • Math… • Parent read aloud to your child… • Thursday evening, read something in your poetry binder…

  7. Mail • Please check your child’s schoolbag each night for “mail”. • Then take the “mail” out of their bags. • Thanks!!

  9. GuestReaders • Each month your child will become a guest reader. • He/she will pick a day to read a book to the class. • Please have your child practice their book at home for fluency. • After your child reads to the class, he/she will get a bookmarker with a sticker.
