Conscientious and great communication throughout the project. We had a magnificent 165-year-old Burr Oak that fell on our property after a hurricane weakened it. We harvested the wood in hopes of using it in our house that was nearing the end of the developmental stage and is now fully constructed. Greenwood Bay transformed slabs of that wood into a Live Edge mantle, office space work surface, bathroom countertop for two vessel sinks, powder room vanity top for another vessel sink, entryway seating surface (in a modern craftsman-style foyer with cubbies and window seating area) and the most beautiful live edge kitchen bar top (with tons or swirling burl in the limb that Bob used to make it). We are now in the process of having Greenwood Bay make a 10 ft long live edge dining table, bed frame for the master bedroom, and various tables and benches. Some of the raw wood slabs had cracked before GB received them from us, and the “butterflies” that were incorporated to maintain structural integrity only added to the beauty of the work. Bob took our general idea about wood island and countertops and used his experience and creative skills to design beautiful live edge counters that exceeded our expectations. He is very professional and easy to work with. He gave us a choice of materials at a variety of cost levels, several of which were very suitable.
