Targeted PD in teachers’ content provides differentiation for instructional support. Instructional mentors assigned for first two years. Third year optional. RELATIONSHIPS. This is our priority. personal connections instructional mentors, demonstration teachers, new teacher socials, relationships with staff and the community The electronic learning community provides opportunities for problem solving and support. Relationships A Multi-Faceted Approach to Support Monthly seminars provide follow-up and topic-specific PD. Resources are provided to support classroom instruction and professional responsibilities. Demonstration Classrooms give another layer of modeling and mentoring. Pre-service induction helps new teachers understand the system and their curriculum.

We share with mentors… • 91% of new teachers say their mentor has helped to provide instructional materials and support. • 71% of new teachers state that their mentor has modeled instruction. • 84% of new teachers state their mentor has provided support in classroom management. • 100% of new teachers assigned a mentor. • All second year teachers assigned a mentor. • Third year teachers receive a mentor based on need. Nearly ¾ of mentors provide mentoring several times per month
