vTools and L31 Report • vTools has been more mature than before. • Schedule your meetings, seminars and workshops • Send the meeting links to your chapter members and ask them to register • Get more accurate prediction for the number of attendants for budget control (food, registration fee, ….) • L31 report becomes a single click job after scheduling the meeting with vTools • Major chapter officers should have access to vTools. • http://meetings.vtools.ieee.org/main • Use your IEEE user name and password • If you have no access, please let me know and I need to file an officer report. • Please file L31 reports for all your meetings (including ones you did not scheduled with vTools)
Officer Election • Election for Chair & Treasurer positions every year. • Appoint nominating committee in June. • Hold election in October. • Report election results to Zhuo Li no later than 20 days after election. • Name, email address, IEEE member number, position. • Please always include subgroup number & chapter name in subject line of your communication to Zhuo Li. • New officers start in Jan. • IEEE CTS secretary will submit all new chapter officers to IEEE by 2/18.
Other Activities • In the process of synchronizing SAMIeee, section roster, vTools (L31), and the officer reports. • Refiled officer reports that either did not show up in SAMIeee or have wrong records. • Cleaned up several SAMIeee entries. • In the progress of creating C16 Austin and C16 San Antonio chapters in the system. • In the progress of cleaning up L31 entries for COM19/SP01, Life Member, TM14 and PE31 chapters. • Create two SAMIeee queries • (GEO) Current Central Texas Section Chapter Officers (including affinity groups). • (GE) All Central Texas Section Chapter Officers (including previous officers).
