  2. New Standard for Quince FFV-62 • Draft agreed (ECE/TRADE/C/WP.7/GE.1/2013/3) • Standard as document ECE/TRADE/C/WP.7/2013/11 Requested for approval as a recommendation for a one year trial period by Working Party • New Standard for Persimmons FFV-63 • Amendment agreed (ECE/TRADE/C/WP.7/GE.1/2013/14) • Standard as document ECE/TRADE/C/WP.7/2013/12 Requested for approval as a recommendation for a one year trial period by the Working Party

  3. Standard for Lambs Lettuce FFV-60 • Recommendation checked and discussed (ECE/TRADE/C/WP.7/2012/24): • proposals by Germany (INF.1) and France (INF.8) • product specific sampling to determine the defects to be checked in practical application and to be discussed with OECD • Standard as document ECE/TRADE/C/WP.7/2013/13 Requested for a one year prolongation of the trial period by the Working Party

  4. Standard for Apples FFV-50 • Correction/clarification agreed (ECE/TRADE/C/WP.7/GE.1/2013/5): • max. size range 10 mm for Class I sales packages and Class I fruit packed loose in the package • Standard as document ECE/TRADE/C/WP.7/2013/14Requested for approval by the Working Party • Discussion to be continued in 2014 • Revision of list of varieties and eventually correctness to be checked by WAPA • Revision of sizing provisions

Standard for Pears FFV-51 • Corrections agreed (ECE/TRADE/C/WP.7/GE.1/2013/5): • max. size range 10 mm for Class I sales packages and Class I fruit packed loose in the package • table on uniformity in size by weight deletion of 75-100 g • Standard as document ECE/TRADE/C/WP.7/2013/15 Requested for approval by the Working Party • Discussion to be continued in 2014 • Revision of sizing provisions

Standard for Witloof Chicory FFV-38 • Amendments agreed (ECE/TRADE/C/WP.7/2012/9): • to integrate red varieties in the standard • to exclude the radicchio types • to harmonise provisions on Class I and II with the OECD explanatory brochure • to simplify the sizing provisions • Standard as document ECE/TRADE/C/WP.7/2013/16 Requested for approval by the Working Party

Standard for Chinese Cabbage FFV-44 • Corrections agreed (ECE/TRADE/C/WP.7/GE.1/2013/9) • labelling of “number of units” is now optional • Standard as document ECE/TRADE/C/WP.7/2013/17 Requested for approval by the Working Party • Standard for Fennel FFV-16 • Corrections agreed (ECE/TRADE/C/WP.7/GE.1/2013/10) • labelling of “number of units” is now optional • Standard as document ECE/TRADE/C/WP.7/2013/18 Requested for approval by the Working Party

Standard for Shallots FFV-56 • Corrections agreed (ECE/TRADE/C/WP.7/GE.1/2013/11) • “free of hollow and tough stems” moved from Class II to minimum requirements • allows “slight defects in colouring” in Class I • Standard as document ECE/TRADE/C/WP.7/2013/19 Requested for approval by the Working Party

Work in progress • recommendations for lambs lettuce, persimmons and quince • explanatory brochure on persimmons • apples, pears, plums – provisions on sizing • apples – list of varieties • sweet chestnuts, ware potatoes – quality tolerances • tomatoes – commercial types • watermelons – Class Extra, minimum Brix • citrus fruit – labelling mandarin group • chicories (endives in French) – miniature produce • eventually fresh figs (maturity requirements) 2013/12
