Marley spent most of his childhood in the rural areas of Nile Miles. When he was just a teenager he left St. Ann and went off to Jamaica’s capital, and settled in the outskirts of Kingston, in a town called Trench Town.
This is where his musical talents were nurtured, and he got the inspiration to for his song “No Woman, No Cry” (1974).
While living in Trench Town, Marley and his old friend “Bunny” met Peter Tosh and thus Bob Marley & The Wailers was born.
After going on his own Marley found female voices, and set off for a European tour in support of “Natty Dread.” This tour included two nights at London's Lyceum Theater.
After having a near-death experience (someone tried to shoot him), Marley started his One Love tour.
Unfortunately Marley died in 1981 in the rooms of Miami Hospital and Clinics Bob Marley
