Classification/Habitat • Streptococcus is classified by its arrangement called diplo and strepto. • The habitat of streptococcus is the throat and the skin.
Metabolism/Function • Most of streptococcus are heterotrophs. • All of the groups in Streptococcus are anaerobic.
Endo/Exo?/Gram-Positive or Negative? • It disease causing of streptococcus is exotoxin type C. • Streptococcus is a a gram-positive because of how it has a lot of stain in the cell wall called peptidoglycan.
3 WOW Facts • Streptococcus Greek names means that it is like a twisted chain. • If it is not treated into cause a rheumatic fever.
