Sunflowers represent different things to different people groups around the world. Though sunflowers have been assigned a variety of meanings, everything the sunflower represents is positive.

A maze made up of 125,000 sunflowers has been set up on the Museumplein in Amsterdam to celebrate the opening of the new entrance hall to the Van Gogh museum Launched in 2015 for the new entrance hall of the Van Gogh Museum, the charming path features 125,000 sun-facing sunflowers, which cover more than half of the Museumplein. All in all, the place is a treat for the eyes, and a surefire way to lift your spirits. At the end of the event, the sunflowers were handed to guests – splashing yellow across the streets of Amsterdam

Just Stop Oil said activists dumped two cans of tomato soup over the Van Gogh oil painting, one of the Dutch artist's most iconic works. The two protesters also glued themselves to the gallery wall.
