Roster / Certification 2009 Mid Maryland Football and Cheer League Roster Certification Process Access Website:www.midmarylandfootball.com Go to Documents / Click “MMFL Game Roster” Save File to your Computer Access File from your Computer and enter: - Program Information - Coaches Information - Player Information (alphabetical regular and OBLs)
Roster Certification • Name File: Age Group- Division – Team Name - Date: • Example: 9-11 American – Catonsville Stars 8.20.2008 • Save Completed File to your Computer • Create email to WDunmore@howardcountymd.gov - attach saved completed file. • Send File electronically • Due Dates: • National and American: August 19th • Centennial August 26th • Federal : August 27th • Print a copy • Bring Copy of file, and a book (team admin normally does this) containing all Photo IDs, in alphabetical / certification file order to HOCO Dept of Recreation and Parks. • Certification Dates • Wednesday August 20th – National / United Division TeamsTuesday August 26th – American Division • Wednesday August 27th - Federal Division

Game Weigh-in Procedures • All teams must be weighed-in at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each game. Late players are permitted to be weighed in before the start of the game, or at the half if they arrive after the start of the game, • The head coach or designated coach, a team administrator of each team, and the players shall be the only ones permitted in the weigh-in area. NO FANS, PARENTS, OR OTHER COACHES ARE PERMITTED IN THE WEIGH-IN AREA. • Weigh-in must be done on a digital scale. • The Official Maryland MVA ID Card, laminated team Roster and spotter’s sheetmust be presented. A player without MMYFCL approved ID card will not be eligible to play. • Weigh-in shall be conducted without helmets. All cups and other pads will be checked • Each player must play in the same equipment he has on during the weigh-in. • All weigh-ins will be conducted in full uniform, no strip weigh-ins prior to the game on the field. • Digital Scale round down for all numbers. Ex. 115.9 = 115lbs Players must be a full pound over to miss weight. • Game Weight is determined by the MMYFC weight chart for each division of play. • Starting with the second weekend of games, a one-pound additional allowance will be given every other week. • Equipment allowances without helmets:
Mandatory Play Rules • Each player must participate in the game and abide by MMYCF mandatory play rule. • 19 or less players National / Centennial Conference – each player must play 8 plays • 20 or more players National / Centennial Conference – each player must play 6 plays • 19 or less players American Conference – each player must play 8 plays • 20 or more players American Conference – each player must play 6 plays • 11 to 20 players Federal / United Conference – each player must play 13 plays • 21 to 25 players Federal / United Conference – each player must play 11 plays • 26 to 28 players Federal / United Conference – each player must play 9 plays • ALL DEAD BALL PLAYS ARE NOT INCLUDED AS A PLAY ON THE MANDATORY PLAY COUNT.
Spotter Procedures Create Mandatory Play Spotter Sheet Provide to opponents spotter List Players in Numerical (Jersey #) order Provide spotter assistance with starting offense, starting defense and special teams player lists Assign an assistant coach to assist spotter if possible Spotters are not allowed in “Coaching Box” - they are allowed on the sidelines – but must be between 30 yr line and Goal Line

Site Directors Responsibilities • Field Set Up • Team Weigh ins • Keep Games on Time • Allow only approved persons “beyond ropes” • Assure Spotters are in correct place on sidlines • In event of ejection notify MMYFCL Directors of Football ( with name) • Notify MMYFCL Directors of Football if any player, coach or spectator hinders you from effectively doing your job • Wear MMYFCL provided ID garment • Have SOP handy

Score Reporting 1) Collect the scores from the coaches or organization representative from currents week’s games. 2) Email the 5 scores directly to the web admin 3) Web Admin will enter the scores in the formatted spreadsheet and upload to MMYFCL website
