  30. Monitoring of the Scheme • SLSMC meeting was conducted on 21.09.2012 and 15.03.2013 under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary. • District Level steering – cum – Monitoring Committee meetings are held on quarterly basis. • State Review Mission has been constituted under the chairmanship of Director (Elementary Education) as per recommendation of the 4th Review Mission of MHRD, GoI. Directorate of Elementary Education, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh

  31. State Review Mission will conduct review of Scheme implementation on quarterly basis from June 2013. • Action taken report on the observations of the Monitoring institutes and 4th Review Mission 2012-13 has been sent Directorate of Elementary Education, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh

  32. Grievance Redressal Mechanism • Grievance Redressal Cells set up at State & District level to attend public grievances / complaints. • Deputy Director of School Education of districts are appointed as District Grievance Redressal officers. • Complaints are maintained in register at State and District level. • Toll Free No. is 1800 345 3604.   33. Capacity Building • 2 day Orientation Training programme of Teacher In charge on maintenance of records, hygiene, cleanliness, safety measures etc. was organized at Block levels on 16th -17th August,2012. • Workshop for capacity building of District Coordinators (MDM) on planning process and formulation of District/State Annual work Plan and Budget at State level was conducted on 4th- 7th Feb’2013.   34. Major Problems / Issues • Delay in release of fund to district/schools on account of cumbersome process in obtaining budgetary support & concurrence from the State Finance Department. • High transportation cost of foodgrains from FCI depot to schools. Need enhancement of transport assistance. • Release of 2nd installment of 2011-12 to reimburse committed expenditure. Directorate of Elementary Education, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh

  35. Budget Provision in the state Plan • The State Government allocates Rs.100.00 lakhs in the Annual Plan as State share for MDM Scheme for the year 2013-14. • State Govt. released Rs. 200.00 lakh as State matching share for FY 2012-13.
