  1. Clothed in Glory! A Resurrection Message

Arrayed in splendor & glory • Gen 2:7 “Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” • Life: Hbchayah – containing the vital principles of God (Himself) • Man is the only creation that has a unique relationship of divine life to human life (the glory) which allows for intimacy with God! (and Satan wanted it!!!)

  3. Stripped of splendor & glory • Gen 3:21-23 “…And God made garments of skin…and clothed them….and God sent them out of the garden….” (the place of intimacy). • Blood was shed in order to “clothe” man • Blood would need to be shed again in order to restore man’s original garment

  4. Father God’s Restoration Plan • Gen 3:15 “…and I will put enmity (Hbebah – deep rooted hatred, irreconcilable hostility) between you and the woman…and He (Jesus) shall bruise you on the head…” • The “head” is the seat of authority/glory • Jn 1: 1,14 “In the beginning was the Word…and Word became flesh…we beheld His glory…” • Jn 1:29 “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”

  5. Jesus is the Second Adam • Jn 10:10 “The thief (Satan) comes to steal, kill and destroy (the Presence/glory – emphasis mine); I came that they might have life, and might have it more abundantly” • Life –Zoe – the vital principles of God Himself • Jesus came to restore to man the ability to have meaningful and intimate relationship with God

  6. Second Adam does it perfectly • Matt 4:1-11 “…and the tempter came and said….” • He answers “It is written” – what’s our answer when we’re tempted? • Heb 4:15 “…(He) has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.”

  7. The tomb is empty! Jn. 20:15 “…Whom are you seeking…and Jesus said, ‘Mary’” (intimacy with Jesus) • Jn 20:22 “…and He breathed on them and said ‘Receive the Holy Spirit’” (intimacy w/HS) • 1 Jn 3:1 “See how great a love the Father has bestowed upon us that we should be called children of God…” (intimacy w/Father God)

  8. Relationship (the glory) is restored! • Heb 5:9 “And having been made perfect (completely glorified), He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation (zoe!)” • Jn 17:22 “And the glory which Thou has given Me I have given to them that they may be one, just as We are one;”

  9. The challenge… • Are you in right relationship with Father God through Jesus Christ? • Are you living your life (as a son/daughter) in intimate relationship w/the Father, Son and Holy Spirit of God? • Are you partaking of and exhibiting the “zoe” of our glorified Savior?

  10. The encouragement… • Heb 2: 10 “For it was fitting for Him…to bring many sons to glory.” • Jn 10:10 “…but I came so you can have real (now) and eternal (hereafter) life, more and better life than you ever dreamed of.” (The Message) • Jn 10:10 “I came that you may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance – to the full, til it overflows” (The Amplified Bible)
