  1. Clothed in the New SelfSeries: Spiritual Life Essentials March 16th, 2014

  2. Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds. They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.

  3. They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity. But that is not the way you learned Christ!— assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus,

  4. to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires,and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:17-24

  5. What happens when we get in shape?

  6. 1)Our physical appearance changes

  7. Spiritual Appearance Change

  8. Spiritual Appearance Change Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17

  9. 2) Continual maintenance of our conditioning

  13. Spiritual Conditioning “to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life” Verse 22

  14. 3) Living becomes sweet

  16. Spiritual Sweetness “put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” Verse 24

  17. How Can WeLive in the New Self?

  22. God’s Reflection, Not Yours

  23. God’s Reflection, Not Yours “…and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” Verse 24

  24. Your Future Glory For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Colossians 3:3-4
