Use-Case • Illustrates the activities performed by the users of a system • Depict the Users’ view of a system • Are logical models • Are technology-independent • Can be used to describe current (As Is) or future (To Be) system
Use-Case: 2 Parts • Use-Case Descriptions – Written, less formal documents that describe the functions of a system • Use-Case Diagram – Formal, graphical representation of the functions of a system Use-Case Descriptions are created first; Use-Case Diagrams are then created from Use-Case Descriptions
