Themes: • 1)Footbol • In December 2005 Gazprom took a controlling stake in the club. The deal was announced by Valentina Matviyenko, the Saint Petersburg governor. According to her, Gazprom has already arranged the construction of a new stadium and was planning to invest in the club's facilities and equipment and the development of junior football leagues. The home ground of FC Zenit is now at "Petrovsky" stadium in St. Petersburg. In 2007, the club's former home base at the Kirov Stadium was demolished, to be replaced with a new stadium for FC Zenit. Zenit won the 2007 Russian Premier League, their best achievement since winning the USSR Championship in 1984.
2) Hockey • Hockey club SKA Saint Petersburg (Sports Club of Army) - a command(team) on ice hockey from city of Saint Petersburg. It is based in 1946. Acts in the Championship of Russia Hockey command(team) "SKA" (Saint Petersburg) is formed in 1946. 1946-47 - UP TO them(him,it). 3) Youth sports • Presently the youth takes a great interest in sports, various competitions are very often spent. At my school also there are winners of competitions. At us it is often spent volleyball and football matches. We have a volleyball command. In my class there are players of a volleyball command, and participants of various competitions. And on some interrogations people in my class conduct a healthy and active way of life.
4) Problems of smoking • One of the most serious health problems facing the young people is smoking. Each year, tens of thousands die, and countless more suffer from chronic diseases, as a consequence of prolonged smoked. Who smokes? High school graduates, blue collar workers, and men in low income brackets who are more likely to smoke than men in higher income brackets, white collar workers and people with college educations. Women who work are more likely to smoke than housewives, or women in households with a low family income. In addition, children from households where the parents and siblings smoke may learn the habit more frequently than children in smoke free homes. By now, everybody should know that smoking is harmful and can also lead to death. Smoking can lead to emphysema and asthma. • There are five important facts about kids and smoking. • 1)Most people start using tobacco before they finish high school. This means that if you stay smoke free in school, you will probably never smoke. • 2)Most teens who smoke are addicted to nicotine. They want to quit smoking, but they can't. • 3)Tobacco is often the first drug used by kids who use alcohol and illegal drugs like marijuana. • 4)Kids who start smoking are more likely to get lower grades in school. • 5)Cigarette advertisements mislead kids and increase their risk of smoking.
