Childhood His parents were Ray Cash and Carrie Rivers. He had three other siblings; Roy Cash, Margaret Cash, and Jack Cash. He grew up in Dyess Arkansas. He started playing music in 1944.
Influences or Problems His main problem was that he was a drug addict. He started doing drugs, because he got a lot of stress from touring, he did a lot of his own driving while on tour and decided his way of getting energy was doing drugs. He started doing drugs in 1957 He quite, because he meet his next wife June Carter.
Accomplishments He started a show called “The Johnny Cash Show.” It was a TV variety series that showcased contemporary musicians ranging from Bob Dylan to Louis Armstrong.
