National Summit on Ports and Terminals • Established Planning Committee: • Karen Tobia, Port Authority of New York & New Jersey (co-chair) • Marygrace Parker, I-95 Corridor Coalition/Intermodal SIG Co-Chair (co-chair) • Mike Onder, FHWA • Phil Noury, Landstar System • Mike Wolfe, North River Consulting • Potential partners/input: AASHTO, AMPO, AAPA, IANA, IFTWG • Committee working to establish: • Objectives • Approach • Partners • Funding

National Summit on Ports and Terminals • Obstacles: • Need to determine “what is the message?” • Must establish clear objectives, desired outcomes • Message must have interest/value to secure attendees • Need to establish funding • issue analysis, logistics, meeting facilities require “hard” dollars • Partnerships not all established/solidified • IFTWG, AAPA, etc.

National Summit on Ports and Terminals • Next Steps • Assess issues to determine relevant agenda • Listening sessions last held in late 90’s • Are they still relevant • Is there need/value to update? • Landside and waterside access issues must be considered in what message/content will be • White paper to be prepared to provide initial insight into port/terminal operator issues • Report to be shared with FHWA, Port/Terminal Summit Planning Committee to determine role/content/approach/need for summit
