  1. “My life and future” Janice Waldron Elementary Education Major

  2. The Early Years • I grew up in Ventura, IA with my two older brothers and my mom and dad. • I attended school in Ventura. • I was very active in sports and academics. • I enjoyed spending time with my friends by having sleep over's.

  3. My current life • I still live in Ventura with my parents while attending college at NIACC. • I keep busy with school and working at the YMCA. • In my spare time I have been planning my fiancés and I’s wedding. • We got engaged two months ago.

  4. The Future • After graduating from NIACC in May, I will continue my studies at B.V.U. • I will obtain my degree in elementary education with an early childhood minor. • In September I will be moving into a home with my new husband. • I plan on getting a job as an elementary teacher in Des Moines. • Eventually, my fiancé and I would like to move to Colorado • One day we hope to have a family of our own.

  5. Reflection One piece of technology that I see myself using as a teacher is: • Excel-I would use it for a grade book, for assignments or even for journal entrys. • It would be a useful tool because it could be used for many different lessons and activities.

  6. Researched Technology • Google Apps: • Google apps gives students and teachers resources to fun learning games. • There are also lessons for teachers to use. • Students are able to use educational apps. • This tool isn’t only helpful for students but for parents, teachers, and administrators.

  7. Conclusion • I have wanted to become a teacher for a long time. • I now know how to enhance my students’ learning though technology. • Technology can be a helpful tool as long as you know how to use it. • This class has helped me become more technology advanced.
