  2. Personal History/ Early life Date and Place of Birth -May 12, 1948 -Born in Falls City, Nebraska Childhood 12 and under -spent part of life in Fairbury, McCook, and Benkelman -eventually took up residence in Wahoo, Nebraska

  3. Personal History/ Early life …continued Education -graduated from Wahoo high school -entered a military academy -bachelors’ degree -finished U.S. Army Airborne and Ranger schools Marriage -wedded Sally Ganem- a retired principal and elementary school teacher -1 child-son named Sam

  4. Political life served in army- -advance to position of captain executive director for Nebraska’s republican party elected to statewide post in 1994 elected lt. governor in 2002 elected to first full-term as governor-2006
