Construction Project Maps & Coordination Effort • General objectives • Improve overall interagency project coordination • Improve understanding of potential project traffic impacts • Aid in evaluating potential project staging alternatives and their impacts • Improve future planning efforts among agencies • Geocommons site: https://gisdata.mn.gov/organization • Existing State hosted site, a few Counties already have web site info placed • One-stop location to place map and general project information • Each agency would be responsible for placing and updating information • Issues to consider • Need to place GIS map shape files on this site • Updating information (frequency?) • Future meetings: with Metro Area agencies to further discuss • Short term: Meet with agencies from each Metro Area (Need to compile list of each agency GIS contact) • Long term: Annual meeting with each Metro Area to review upcoming construction season project and review STIP year projects
MnDOT Metro – Project Transportation Management Plan (TMP) Update • MnDOT is updating its TMP process: • Earlier identification of alternatives • Increased and earlier use of traffic modeling to identify project staging traffic impacts, including potential diversion routes • Increased focus on traffic impacts, including that on non-detoured diversion routes • Further development and use of mitigation strategies, both mainline and potential diversion routes (as appropriate) • Enhanced project outreach efforts

Next Steps • Future meetings: with Metro Area agencies • Short term: Meet with agencies from each Metro Area (Need to agency GIS contact) • Long term: Annual meeting with each Metro Area to review upcoming construction season project and review STIP year projects
